At Mish Mash Publications LTD, your satisfaction is important to us. As an eCommerce business specialising in food and drink products—particularly freshly roasted, custom-labelled coffee—we adhere strictly to UK consumer protection laws while also being transparent about the limitations that apply to perishable items.
Your Right to Cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your online purchase within 14 days of receiving your order. This statutory right allows you to change your mind and request a return without needing to give a reason, and it applies to most physical products bought online.
⚠️ However, please be aware that this right is limited in certain circumstances.
❌ Exemptions Under Regulation 28
Under Regulation 28(1)(d) of the same law, the right to cancel does not apply to:

Perishable goods that are likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly — this includes freshly roasted coffee.

Sealed items not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons, once unsealed by the customer.
Examples include:

Coffee that is ground to order, personalised, or roasted fresh.

Coffee packaging that has been opened or damaged.
-
Any product that has been improperly stored or tampered with after delivery.
Therefore, while we do honour the 14-day cancellation period for eligible non-perishable items, the majority of our coffee products are excluded once:

The seal is broken,

The package is opened,
-
Or it has been stored incorrectly (e.g., exposed to heat, sunlight, or moisture).
If Something’s Wrong with Your Order
Your consumer rights are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If an item is:

Faulty or damaged upon arrival,

Not as described (e.g., wrong blend, grind or weight),
-
Not delivered or missing from your parcel,
You are entitled to request a resolution.
What You Can Expect
Depending on the nature of the issue, we may offer:

A replacement of the same item,

A credit note for use on future purchases,

Or in certain cases, a partial or full refund.
How to Request a Return or Refund
Please email us at info@mishmashpublications.com within 14 calendar days of receiving your item. To speed things up, include:

A clear photo of the item (if faulty),

A brief explanation of the issue.
We'll respond within 2 working days with the next steps.
Important Notes

All requests are reviewed in line with our supplier’s return guidelines (our coffee is shipped directly from our roasting partner).

Returns must be authorised before they are sent. Unauthorised returns may not be processed.

Items must be returned in their original packaging (unopened, where applicable).

We are unable to accept returns purely based on taste preferences or change of mind for perishable items.
Shipping Policy Summary
We offer free UK delivery on all orders.

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days.

Estimated delivery is 2–4 working days after dispatch.
Note: Orders placed after 1pm on Fridays or over the weekend are dispatched on the following Monday or next working day.
Ingredients & Allergen Information
All of our coffee products are made from 100% Arabica coffee beans, selected for their superior quality and smooth, flavour-rich profiles. Unless otherwise stated, our coffees are unflavoured and contain no added sugars, sweeteners, preservatives or artificial flavourings.
The tasting notes mentioned on product pages (e.g., chocolate, plum, citrus) reflect the natural characteristics of the beans based on their origin, roast profile, and processing method and do not indicate added flavouring.
We strictly adhere to the Food Information Regulations 2014, and all ingredients and allergens (where applicable) are listed clearly on each product page. Our products are suitable for vegetarians and do not contain common allergens such as gluten, milk, or nuts; however, cross-contamination cannot be fully ruled out during the production process.
As we operate on a dropshipping model, we do not handle or store any physical stock. All coffee is freshly roasted, ground, packed and shipped directly by our trusted UK roasting partner, 918 Coffee Co., who uphold their standard Returns Policy as a separate entity.
