Returns & Cancellations Policy (Coffee Products)

This policy applies specifically to coffee products purchased via our website. It is designed to be transparent, compliant with UK law, and supportive of both consumer rights and the nature of our coffee supply chain via our coffee partner.
About Our Coffee
Mish Mash Publications Ltd (MMP) sells freshly roasted, custom-labelled coffee, fulfilled by our coffee partner.
We do not hold coffee inventory on-site. All coffee is produced and dispatched by our supplier partner.
Statutory Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, customers may cancel online purchases within 14 days of receiving the item.
However, certain items are exempt under Regulation 28:

Perishable goods likely to expire or deteriorate quickly, such as freshly roasted or ground coffee

Sealed items unsuitable for return once unsealed, due to hygiene or health reasons
Examples of exclusions include:

Ground-to-order coffee

Coffee packaging that’s been opened or damaged

Items tampered with, stored incorrectly, or exposed to heat/moisture
We honour the 14-day cancellation period for eligible non-perishable coffee items (e.g. unopened, sealed whole beans), but the majority of our products are excluded once opened or ground.
Order Cancellations
Coffee orders are roasted and packed within 48 hours of ordering and dispatched promptly via Royal Mail or courier. All coffee items are produced shortly after checkout.

If your order has not yet been processed, we will attempt to cancel it if notified within 1 hour. However, we cannot guarantee cancellation, as the fulfilment process may already be underway. In such cases, the order may need to proceed due to the nature of our production chain.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Coffee
If your coffee:

Arrives damaged

Is not what you ordered (e.g. wrong blend or grind)

Is faulty (e.g. packaging defects)
Please notify us within 28 days of delivery, in line with our coffee partner’s terms. We will:

Arrange a replacement,

Offer a credit note, or
-
Process a full or partial refund, depending on the case
Photo evidence may be required. Most valid complaints do not require return unless instructed.
Change-of-Mind Returns
Due to the perishable nature of coffee, we do not accept change-of-mind returns.
If a return is accepted at our discretion:

The coffee must be unopened, in original packaging

A handling/restocking fee of up to 25% may apply

Return postage is the customer’s responsibility

Refund Timelines

Refunds: Issued within 14 days of confirming eligibility or receiving an approved return

Replacements: Shipped within 2–3 business days after confirmation. This may take longer during weekends or UK bank holidays.
Coffee Partner Return Conditions
Our coffee partner requires:

Items must be unopened and in original condition

Once the seal is broken, coffee cannot be returned

Courier costs are only refunded for valid faults
Returns will not be accepted for:

General buyer’s remorse
Returns must be approved in writing. Where non-faulty items are returned at our discretion:

Ingredients & Allergen Info (Coffee)
Our coffee:

Made from 100% Arabica beans

Unflavoured (no added sugar, sweeteners, or artificial flavourings)

Contains no common allergens (e.g. milk, nuts, gluten)
Cross-contamination cannot be ruled out. Ingredients are clearly listed on product pages. We comply with UK Food Information Regulations 2014.
