Terms & Conditions / Service Policy

Last updated: 16 May 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Memento Vid Enhancements™ by MMP®, referred to in this policy as “MVE”, “we”, “us” or “our.”

By submitting an MVE service request, approving a quote, paying a deposit or making a payment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

MVE is a separate service from Mish Mash Publications Ltd’s other business activities. These terms apply specifically to MVE memory film, video enhancement and related editing services.

For questions about this policy, contact:

Email: info@mishmashpublications.com

1. About MVE

MVE provides personalised video editing and memory film services. This may include editing customer-submitted photos, video clips, audio, written details and other media into short films, memory edits, social media edits, promotional edits or related video content.

Services may include, depending on the selected package and quote:

  • video editing

  • photo and clip sequencing

  • transitions

  • captions or subtitle styling

  • animated text

  • colour correction or grading

  • sound clean-up

  • sound effects

  • music sourcing or music style matching

  • licensed stock footage or stills

  • AI-assisted image or video enhancement

  • AI-generated short visual elements

  • Final video export and delivery by download link

Each project is reviewed individually before a final quote is confirmed.

2. Who can submit an MVE request

You must be 18 or over to submit an MVE request.

If any photos, videos or personal details feature a child or young person, you confirm that you are either:

  • the parent or legal guardian, or

  • You have permission from the parent or legal guardian to submit the media for editing.

Children’s personal information receives particular protection under UK data protection guidance, so MVE requires adult/guardian permission for any child-related media submitted through the service.

3. Availability of services

MVE may accept customers from the UK and overseas.

MVE operates under the laws of England and Wales. If you are outside the UK, you are responsible for checking whether our service is suitable for your country, location or intended use.

We reserve the right to decline any request that we believe is unsuitable, unlawful, unsafe, offensive, misleading, technically impractical, or outside the scope of the service.

4. Service request process

The MVE process usually works as follows:

  1. You submit the service request form.

  2. You select the type of edit, base tier and any additional enhancements.

  3. You upload files or provide a file-sharing link.

  4. MVE reviews your request, media and selected options.

  5. MVE sends a quote or confirms whether the selected package is suitable.

  6. You pay the required deposit.

  7. MVE begins preparation and editing.

  8. Once the edit is complete and ready for delivery, the remaining balance is requested.

  9. The final file is released after the balance has been paid.

Submitting a form does not automatically create a confirmed booking. A booking is only confirmed once MVE accepts the project and the required deposit/payment arrangement is made.

5. Pricing and quotes

MVE prices are shown as starting prices using a plus sign, for example, £25+, £35+, £55+ or £75+.

The plus sign means the final price may increase depending on the project requirements.

Final pricing may depend on:

  • chosen edit tier

  • amount of footage provided

  • number of photos or video clips used

  • final video length

  • footage quality

  • requested style

  • additional enhancements

  • AI correction or enhancement

  • captions or subtitle styling

  • stock footage or filler clips

  • sound effects

  • music requests

  • voiceover requests

  • urgent turnaround

  • business or corporate use

  • complexity of the edit

MVE will provide a quote before paid editing begins.

6. Base edit tiers and revisions

MVE currently offers the following base edit tiers:

Tier 1: Basic Memory Film Edit

From £25+
Includes 0 revisions.

Tier 2: Story Memory Film Edit

From £35+
Includes 1 revision.

Tier 3: Polished Memory Film Edit

From £55+
Includes 2 revisions.

Tier 4: Holiday Memory Film Edit

From £75+
Includes 3 revisions.

A revision means a reasonable change to the existing edit, such as minor timing adjustments, text corrections, replacing a small number of clips, or minor sound/music adjustments.

Revisions do not include a full re-edit, a new creative direction, replacing most of the project media, or adding major extras that were not included in the original quote.

Additional revisions may be available at an extra cost.

Pricing note:

MVE aims to keep pricing clear, fair and transparent. Our listed prices are starting prices and may be reviewed or adjusted from time to time due to changes in business costs, software subscriptions, licensing costs, stock media costs, AI tool costs, payment provider fees, exchange rates, international pricing conditions or other operational expenses.

Any price changes will not affect a quote that has already been accepted and paid for, unless the customer requests additional work, extra enhancements, a longer edit, urgent turnaround or a change in project scope.

MVE will always confirm the final quote before paid editing work begins.

7. Additional enhancements and extra costs

Some options are additional enhancements and may increase the final quote.

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • AI correction/enhancement

  • AI image-to-video clips

  • AI sound effects

  • additional sound effects

  • animated text

  • caption or subtitle style requests

  • colour correction or grading

  • music style requests

  • social media cutdowns

  • sound clean-up

  • stock footage or filler clips

  • stock images or filler stills

  • vertical phone versions

  • voiceover options

  • widescreen versions

  • YouTube versions

  • other enhancement requests

MVE will confirm the cost before carrying out paid additional enhancement work.

8. Deposits

MVE may require a fixed deposit before work begins.

The current deposit structure is:

  • £15 fixed deposit for edits under £75

  • £25 fixed deposit for edits of £75 or more

The deposit secures the edit slot and covers initial preparation, file review, project setup and scheduling.

Once preparation or editing has started, the deposit may be non-refundable.

Deposit conditions must be made clear before the order is placed. UK distance-selling guidance requires businesses to provide clear information about price, payment, cancellation, deposits and when cancellation rights may be lost.

9. Balance payment and delivery

Once the edit is complete and ready for delivery, MVE will send a payment link by email for the remaining balance.

The final video file will only be released after the remaining balance has been paid.

Final edits will usually be delivered by email or download link. Alternative delivery methods may be used where suitable.

You are responsible for downloading and saving your final file promptly.

10. Third-party payment options

Where available, customers may be offered third-party payment options such as Clearpay, Klarna or similar providers.

These payment services are provided by the relevant third-party provider and are subject to their own eligibility checks, payment schedules, terms and conditions.

MVE does not control whether a third-party payment provider approves or declines a payment option.

Clearpay states that customers usually pay in four instalments over six weeks and that approval is not guaranteed. Klarna states that Pay in 3 is subject to status, terms and conditions, and that late payments may negatively affect a customer’s financial status and ability to obtain credit.

Customers should read the payment provider’s own terms before choosing that payment method.

11. Cancellations

You may request to cancel before work begins.

Once MVE has started preparation or editing, cancellation rights may be limited because the service is personalised and work has already begun.

Where cancellation is accepted after work has started, MVE may retain the deposit and/or charge for reasonable work already completed.

If a project is cancelled after significant editing has taken place, further refund reductions may apply.

Where digital content or personalised services are supplied, UK distance-selling rules require customers to be told when cancellation rights may be lost or limited.

12. Refunds

Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.

MVE does not usually offer refunds where:

  • Work has already started

  • The customer changes their mind after approving the quote

  • The customer provided poor-quality footage that limits the result

  • The customer fails to provide the required files, information or access

  • The customer requests a completely different edit after work has begun

  • The customer does not download the final file within the agreed availability period

  • Third-party payment provider issues occur outside MVE’s control

If MVE is unable to complete a project due to our own fault, we will discuss a fair resolution, which may include a partial or full refund depending on the work completed.

13. Customer media and file quality

You are responsible for providing usable photos, videos, audio, names, dates, wording and other materials required for the edit.

MVE can only work with the quality of the media provided.

Poor-quality files may affect:

  • sharpness

  • colour

  • sound quality

  • movement

  • export quality

  • AI correction results

  • overall final appearance

MVE will do reasonable work to improve or enhance footage where included in the quote, but we cannot guarantee perfect results from low-quality, blurry, damaged, compressed or poorly lit media.

14. Uploads and file-sharing links

Customers may upload files through the MVE form or provide a file-sharing link such as Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or similar.

If you provide a link, you are responsible for making sure:

  • The link works

  • MVE has access

  • Permissions are correctly set

  • Files are not deleted before MVE has downloaded or reviewed them

  • The files are organised clearly, where possible

If MVE cannot access the files, this may delay the project.

15. File storage and deletion

MVE aims to keep customer files for as little time as reasonably necessary.

Uploaded media and final edit files are normally retained for up to 30 days after completion, then may be deleted.

Customers should download and safely store their final file as soon as it is delivered.

MVE is not responsible for storing customer media or final files permanently.

16. Permission to submit media

By submitting photos, videos, audio, names, dates, written messages or any other personal material, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to submit the media

  • You have permission from anyone featured where required

  • You are not submitting media unlawfully

  • You are not breaching another person’s privacy or rights

  • You have permission for any child featured in the submitted media

  • The media does not contain anything unlawful, abusive, exploitative, defamatory or harmful

MVE may refuse to work with media that appears inappropriate, unlawful, unsafe or outside the values of the service.

17. Marketing and portfolio use

In most circumstances, customer photos, videos and final edits will not be used for MVE marketing.

MVE will not use your photos, videos or finished edit for marketing, portfolio, website or social media purposes without separate permission.

If MVE ever wishes to use selected footage or part of a finished edit for marketing or portfolio purposes, we will contact you first for permission, where we have your details available.

Your decision about marketing or portfolio use does not affect your booking.

Consent should be specific, informed and freely given, and should not be bundled into general terms.

18. AI correction and AI enhancements

MVE may offer AI-assisted correction or enhancement where suitable.

This may include:

  • improving blurry images where possible

  • brightening poor-quality clips

  • enhancing older photos

  • improving sharpness

  • fixing minor colour or lighting issues

  • creating short AI image-to-video clips

  • using AI sound effects or related creative tools

AI correction and enhancement results are not guaranteed.

Sometimes AI enhancements may significantly improve the look and feel of an image or clip. In other cases, results may be limited by the quality, resolution, lighting, movement, compression or damage in the original file.

MVE will use reasonable judgment when applying AI-assisted tools, but final results may vary.

19. Stock footage, images, music and sound effects

Where requested or appropriate, MVE may use licensed stock footage, stock images, music, sound effects, AI-generated assets or other creative materials as part of an edit.

These materials will be selected to support the style, tone and purpose of the edit.

Some stock, music, sound effect or AI asset requests may increase the final quote.

20. Music requests and copyright

Customers may request a music style, mood or genre.

MVE may not be able to use a specific commercial song unless it is properly licensed for the intended use.

If a customer asks for a copyrighted commercial song, MVE may suggest a suitable licensed alternative.

MVE is not responsible for copyright issues caused by customer-supplied music or material where the customer does not have permission to use it.

21. Business and corporate edits

Business, corporate, promotional or brand-related edits may require different pricing, usage considerations or additional requirements.

For business clients, MVE may request:

  • company name

  • VAT number, if applicable

  • brand details

  • logo files

  • style guidance

  • intended use

  • platform requirements

  • usage requirements

Business clients are responsible for ensuring they have the right to submit any brand, product, staff, customer or business-related media.

22. VAT information

If applicable, business customers may provide a VAT number through the MVE form.

Providing a VAT number does not automatically change the quote or tax treatment unless confirmed by MVE.

Any VAT or tax handling will depend on the business setup, customer location and applicable rules at the time of the transaction.

23. Business and commercial projects

Business, corporate, promotional or commercial editing requests may be priced differently from personal memory film edits.

Commercial pricing may vary depending on the scope of work, intended use, number of videos, number of versions required, branding needs, deadlines, licensing requirements, revision rounds, platform formats, and whether additional support is needed.

For larger or ongoing business projects, MVE may need to source freelance support or additional creative assistance. Where this is required, the cost of freelancer support, project coordination, specialist editing, licensed assets, or additional production time may affect the final quote.

MVE will aim to remain open and transparent about commercial pricing. Any business or ongoing project quote will be confirmed before paid work begins.

A confirmed quote will not change unless the project scope changes, additional work is requested, deadlines change, or extra services are required.

For regular or repeat business editing, MVE may offer a custom quote, retainer-style arrangement, or project-by-project pricing depending on the volume and requirements. Any ongoing arrangement will be agreed separately in writing.

24. Turnaround times

Turnaround times may vary depending on:

  • project size

  • chosen tier

  • footage amount

  • footage quality

  • selected enhancements

  • revision requests

  • response times

  • payment delays

  • file access issues

  • workload

Urgent turnaround may be available at an additional cost, but it is not guaranteed.

MVE will give an estimated timescale where possible.

25. Customer response times

Customers should respond promptly to quote approvals, file requests, revision questions and payment links.

Delays in customer response may delay the project.

If a customer does not respond for a prolonged period, MVE may pause or close the project.

Deposits may not be refunded where project work or preparation has already started.

26. Revisions and changes

Revisions must be requested within a reasonable time after the preview or draft is sent.

Included revisions depend on the selected tier.

Revisions should relate to the agreed edit and original brief.

Examples of reasonable revisions may include:

  • correcting text

  • small timing changes

  • replacing a small number of clips or photos

  • minor music or sound adjustments

  • small colour or caption changes

Examples of changes that may cost extra include:

  • changing the whole style after editing has started

  • requesting a full re-edit

  • Adding new major footage after the edit is built

  • changing the selected package

  • requesting extra versions not included in the quote

  • Adding new enhancements after the original quote

27. Final approval

Once the final edit has been approved and delivered, further changes may be treated as a new request or additional paid revision.

Customers should check spelling, names, dates, captions and personal details carefully during the review stage.

MVE is not responsible for errors approved by the customer unless otherwise agreed.

28. Final file format

MVE will usually provide the final edit in a standard video format suitable for digital viewing and sharing.

Common formats may include MP4 or other suitable formats.

Platform-specific exports, such as vertical phone versions, widescreen versions, YouTube versions or social media cutdowns, may be included if selected or quoted.

29. Customer responsibility for sharing

Once the final file is delivered, the customer is responsible for how they download, store, share or publish the edit.

MVE is not responsible for third-party platform restrictions, compression, music blocking, copyright flags, upload issues or quality loss caused by platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp or other sharing services.

30. Refusal of service

MVE may refuse or stop work on a project if:

  • The request is unlawful

  • The media appears unsafe or inappropriate

  • The required permissions are not confirmed

  • Payment is not made

  • Files are inaccessible

  • The customer behaves abusively

  • The request falls outside the service scope

  • Continuing the project could create legal, ethical or reputational risk

Where work has already started, refund decisions will depend on the stage of the project and work completed.

31. Limitation of liability

MVE will take reasonable care when handling customer media and producing edits.

However, MVE is not responsible for:

  • Poor original footage quality

  • loss caused by customer-provided incorrect information

  • inaccessible or expired file links

  • customer's failure to download the final files

  • third-party platform issues

  • third-party payment provider decisions

  • Copyright issues caused by customer-supplied materials

  • delays caused by customer non-response

  • technical issues outside MVE’s reasonable control

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited under UK law.

32. Privacy and personal information

MVE collects and uses personal information only as needed to manage service requests, communicate with customers, prepare quotes, complete edits, process payments, and deliver final files.

Personal information may include:

  • name

  • email address

  • phone number

  • business details

  • VAT number, if applicable

  • submitted photos and videos

  • names, dates and personal details included in the request

  • file-sharing links

  • messages and form responses

  • payment status information

MVE will handle personal information in line with its privacy policy.

33. Updates to these terms

MVE may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version in place at the time of quote approval/payment will usually apply to that project unless a change is required by law or agreed with the customer.

34. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless consumer law gives you rights to bring a claim elsewhere.
